Shared Training Space is a "Win-Win" for Taxpayers

The Northwest Regional SWAT program is a collaborative effort of many Lake County police departments. They organize multi-department training allowing many departments to participate and learn from each other. Below is a video slideshow of a recent training that took place in Griffith, Indiana at a shooting and training facility operated by several area cities and towns.

Multiple Area Police Department Train Together

Several Northwest Indiana cities and towns have been training their respective SWAT or Emergency Response Teams together for many years. This approach not only save these municipals money, it streamlines efforts and allows collaboration between police departments. Below is a video of one of the training sessions held in the town of Merrillville.
